Kornerupine

Named after a Danish geologist and explorer of Greenland.  Kornerupine comes in a variety of colors including green (very rare), colorless, white, pink, yellow or brown. The vibrant green variety rivals the finest emerald.

Kornerupine, due to its scarcity, is generally considered to be a collectors stone.  Although well suited for jewelry use it is seldom seen because of its rarity.

Also known as prismatine.

 Lore

Most lore concerning kornerupine is from fairly recent history, describing it as a teaching and communication stone.  It assists in seeing through the false agreements and illusions in one's current reality.

It is thought to help stabilize and calm the emotions.  Helping the mood swings of manic depressives bring balance into their lives.

"Kornerupine can be used to facilitate a change in physical disorders which subsequently brings the body back to the normal healthy state.  It can be used in times of crises to stabilize both the environment and those involved.  A bit of this mineral in ones environment is quite a survival tool." 1
