Rutilated Quartz
Rutilated quartz is quartz crystal included with fibers of rutile (titanium dioxide). Often confused with tourmalated quartz which is quartz crystal included with tourmaline (generally black). Most often the rutile fibers are of a golden color, making this a very attractive stone in cabochon or as faceted gems. Lore This is a favorite amongst adherents of the New Age philosophies, who use rutilated quartz to increase clairvoyant powers and as an aid in remembering past lives. Rutilated quartz also promotes self control thereby preventing depression. A general healing stone, it is thought to stimulate tissue regeneration and is said to strengthen the immune system. ". . . (rutilated quartz) helps to knit damaged tissues together . . . Place rutilated quartz on any parts of the body that have suffered tissue damage, broken bones or muscle strains." 1 "It (rutilated quartz) affects all the chakras and can regenerate damaged tissue. Can also repel or dissolve depression. Excellent for balancing and healing on all levels. Use with beryl to help bronchitis and asthma.
