Sunstone

Sometimes known as aventurine feldspar, sunstone is named after a a type of glass that was discovered about 1700.  This member of the feldspar group contains tiny hematite or geothite plates that reflect light in a beautiful effect called shiller, typically orange/red but also in greens and blues.
